Laser beam shaping can be achieved by several different methods. HOLO/OR offers diffractive beam shapers as well as refractive microlens arrays.

The diffractive beam shaper is a diffractive optical element (DOE) used to transform an incident laser beam into a uniform-intensity spot with a well defined size and shape and with sharp edges on a specific work plane. The uniform spot enables equal treatment to a surface, excluding over/under-exposure of specific areas. In addition, the spot is characterized by a sharp transition region that creates a clear border between the treated and untreated area.

A typical DOE is a flat, thin and lightweight element that perfectly fits into compact optical systems. HOLO/OR’s DOEs are fabricated on various substrates including high LDT glass substrates such as pure Fused-Silica and ZnSe, Polymer on Glass and Plastics.

For single mode near-Gaussian lasers, we offer the following shaping solutions:

  • Angular Beam Shaping: Optical element (window) which gives a Top-Hat intensity distribution at infinity or focal length of aberration free customer’s lens.
  • Focal Beam Shaping: Hybrid element (lens) or module which gives a Top-Hat intensity distribution at a specific working distance (BFL of the lens or distance from exit location of the module to Top-Hat plane).
  • M-Shaper: Optical element (window) which gives a uniform exposure over scanned lines.

For multi mode lasers, we offer a wide selection of flat-top diffractive Diffusers / Homogenizers, with  spot shaping into round, square, line, rectangular or any desired free form.

We also offer 3 families of ring shapers Vortex lenses Diffractive Axicons and Multi-ring shapers.

HOLO/OR also offers refractive polychromatic shaping solutions such as our Broadband Diffuser and Microlens Arrays.

HOLO/OR  is a high-tech company dedicated to the design and manufacturing of diffractive optical elements and micro-optics solutions.
