Fiber coupling can be effectively achieved by using HOLO/OR’s new line of Diffractive beam splitters (Multispots).
These Diffractive Optical Elements (DOEs) can be used for effective coupling of light from a laser into fiber bundles.
Use of Multispots can uniformly distribute energy into channels of a fiber bundle, improving the coupling efficiency.
HOLO/OR released new Multispot designs in hexagonal of 7, 19, and 37 spots:
Typical applications of fiber bundles include:
- Spectroscopy
- Fluorescence microscopy
- Particle detection scanning
- Colorimetry
- Illumination
A typical optical setup would include a Multispot and a lens, as in the below figure:
You can find our standard elements on the 2D beamsplitter product page with the remark “hexagonal”.
